UpCountry already worked several organizations including Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will be hosting the pint night with a unique glass that will change every week. Clients purchase a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with 10 percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the neighboring places like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist monthly with Bad Craft, an artist shop located in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist every month to show their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display along with for buy. Together with a month long campaign, each artists gets a delegated Pint Night at the brewery along with at Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and also discuss their work along a pint glass featuring the work of the artist. UpCountry values the support of local art, music, and beer, and will continue to indicate their support for all of these avenues of Asheville. UpCountry brewing is proud to provide live, local music almost every night. We are even hosting those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. It's going to include different bands including The Dirty Dead, The Paper Crowns and Phuncle Sam. We are also hosting other bands like Mama Danger, Cat and Crow, Astral Plainsmen, Sirius B., The Dirty Badgers, The Junk Drawer, The Free Wheelin' Mamas, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Cyndi Lou and The Wish to, Moonlight Street Folk and more.
Aside from live music, it's not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery is known for live streaming music, but it's extra focus on when Phish plays. They pull down the huge projection screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance. Other live streams the brewery is known for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry will always encourage Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy brews and boogie.

UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been high quality thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg did a terrific job in developing the labeling artwork for Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, UpCo Mountain Lager and Hop Dread. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
For those who do not know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
