UpCountry Brewing provides a wide variety of beer styles, including saisons, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts, and more. We have over 20 kinds of beers on tap and we are still looking to produce new beers that everybody will surely enjoy. UpCountry provides flights, goblets, pints, and even a twenty-two ounce pour in the taproom. Also, the brewery has beer to go ready for buy. Beer to go will include a growler with your selection of beer or cans of the Mangose, UpCo Lager, Hop Dread Red IPA, or Bogey Free Session IPA. Along with availability in the taproom, UpCountry's beer might be found all over town in different supermarkets, bottle shops, and bars in Asheville, including towns like Woodfin, Waynesville, Canton, Candler, Black Mountain, Arden, Hendersonville, Weaverville, and neighboring locations.

We have our extensive beer list that's great for beer nerds everywhere. We value creativeness and daring recipes in addition to those go-to, easy drinking styles that anybody can enjoy. We are infusing a lot of our brews with different syrups and flavors that will provide an additional creative kick. Along with brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry provides a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We have got dessert choices for the sweet tooths out there, too! Our wide menu variety provides something for everybody! We are also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even though you are actually on a diet, we are going to try everything to accommodate you. We have a lot choices for the whole family and we even have kid-friendly and dog-friendly meals.

When you've worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the perfect place to meet up with friends or family and satisfy your hunger. After you eat your dinner, lunch or snack, you may always try our corn hole and other activities scheduled at the brewery. Along with live music, we host a yoga class on Sunday mornings, music bingo on Wednesdays, and local pint nights on Thursdays.

Community

Every month, UpCountry can select a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry already worked different organizations such as Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry hosts the pint night with a unique glass that varies week by week. Buyers purchase a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with 10 percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is essential, and these pint nights are only one way for the brewery to give back.

Local Art And Music

UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the neighboring locations like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.

In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist monthly with Bad Craft, an artist shop situated in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will show off one artist each month to show their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and buy. Apart from a month long campaign, every artist will get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month is there and able to discuss their work, and a pint glass featuring the artist's work is available for buy. UpCountry will always value the support of local music, art and beer and they're going to continue to support all of these. Community and business relationships are incredibly essential to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, in addition to the UpCountry staff, so the brewery looks forward to continue Pint Nights like these to support!

Music

UpCountry brewing is always proud to provide live, local music on a nightly basis. Once you've taken the family and friends to the tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, bring them down to UpCountry for an intimate night of Bluegrass, Open Mic, Music Bingo, or live local music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We like to host solo musicians such as Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We even host those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. These include bands like Phuncle Sam, The Paper Crowns, and The Dirty Dead. Other bands that we love to host include The Junk Drawer, Mama Danger, the Free Wheelin' Mamas, Cat and Crow, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Astral Plainsmen, Cyndi Lou and The Wish to, Sirius B., Moonlight Street Folk, The Dirty Badgers, and several more.

Apart from hosting live music, it is already known that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery has been known for live streaming music, but it is extra attention to when Phish plays. They pull down the large projection screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance. Other live streams the brewery is noted for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry will always encourage Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy brews and boogie.

UpCountry's latest logo re-design is the perfect thanks to the Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg did an excellent job in creating the labeling artwork for Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, UpCo Mountain Lager and Hop Dread. You should stay tuned as there are several more canning designs that are on the way.

Georgia Bulldogs

For those who don't know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
