In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist of the month with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will display one artist every month to show their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and buy. Aside from a month long campaign, every artist will get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and also discuss their work along a pint glass featuring the work of the artist. Aside from live music, it's not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery is known for live streaming music, but it's extra focus on when Phish plays. They usually pull down the huge projection screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is actually noted for would include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been top notch thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an outstanding job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. You should stay tuned because there are several more canning designs that are on the way.
For those who do not know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
