Our extensive beer list is suitable for beer nerds everywhere. We value creativeness and daring recipes along with those go-to, easy drinking styles that anyone can enjoy. We've recently been infusing some of our brews with different syrups and flavors for an extra creative kick. The brewery also has a Randall for infusions and a pilot brew system to help take the brewing one step further. We are centering on experimentation and seeing the deliciousness that we can create using the knowledge from every brewer.
Apart from this, we provide delicious beer and UpCountry also provides red and white wines and a full liquor bar of gin, vodka, whiskey, tequila and others. You don't have to be a hardcore beer expert to enjoy alcohol at our place-we've got selections for everybody! Together with liquor, UpCountry provides craft signature cocktails that rotate through the year according to the season.
Together with brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry provides a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We even have dessert selections for the folks who love sweets. Our wide menu variety provides something for everybody! We are also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even though you're on a diet, we are going to do our best to accommodate you. We have a lot selections for the whole family and we even have kid-friendly and dog-friendly meals.
When you have worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the perfect place to talk with family or friends and satisfy your hunger. After you eat your dinner, lunch or snack, you can always try our corn hole and other activities scheduled at the brewery. Apart from live music, we also provide yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry can pick a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry unquestionably worked with different organizations before like Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will be hosting the pint night with a unique glass that will change every week. Buyers will definitely purchase a featured beer and they can keep the glass. The 10 percent of the sales will be going to the nonprofit orgs. At UpCountry, community is essential, and these pint nights are only one method for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is definitely supporting local art and music in Asheville and all the neighboring places including Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist of the month with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will show off one artist every month to show their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and buy. Apart from the month long campaign, the artist can also get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and discuss their work and a pint glass feature the work of the artist will be available. UpCountry will always value the support of local music, art and beer and they're going to continue to support all of these. Community and business relationships are really essential to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, along with the UpCountry staff, so the brewery looks forward to continue Pint Nights like these to support!
UpCountry brewing is proud to provide live, local music almost every night. Once you've taken the family and friends to the tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, bring them down to UpCountry for an intimate night of Bluegrass, Open Mic, Music Bingo, or live local music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We love hosting solo musicians like Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We even host those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. These include bands like Phuncle Sam, The Paper Crowns, and The Dirty Dead. We are also hosting other bands like Mama Danger, Cat and Crow, Astral Plainsmen, Sirius B., The Dirty Badgers, The Junk Drawer, The Free Wheelin' Mamas, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Cyndi Lou and The Wish to, Moonlight Street Folk and more.
Together with hosting live music, it is no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery was noted for live streaming music, but it is sensitive to Phish plays. They'll pull down the huge projection screen in order to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance freely. The other known live streams that the brewery is centering on are Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry motivates Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been first class thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an exceptional job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. You have to stay tuned because there are several more canning designs that are on the way.
If you do not have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is definitely a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Cochran will definitely wear his jersey so you must keep an eye out.
