UpCountry's Newest Brew: 'Brown Eyed Girl' Brown Ale

We're excited to have a new brew on tap just in time for the colder weather: our 'Brown Eyed Girl' Brown Ale. Named after the infamous song by Van Morrison, this brew is just as addictive as the tune. Mahogany in color, this is the perfect beer to enjoy in the crisp, fall air surrounded by changing leaves. It has subtle but noticeable hints of hazelnut on the aroma to give it a nutty bite mid-taste. This brew is also malt-forward with a smooth, creamy, and medium body. Last, but absolutely not least, our Head Brewer added just enough Fuggle hops at the end to give it a balanced, bitter, and satisfying finish. "We've been trying to get more darker brews in the tanks for the colder weather, and since we hadn't done a Brown Ale in a while, we thought now was the perfect time," says UpCountry Brewing's Head Brewer, James Bertham. "I'm impressed with the way it turned out and may experiment with it a bit more over the next few months. Tell everyone to stay tuned!" Clocking in at 5.2% ABV and 25 IBU, this beer has only been in our taprooms for a few weeks and is already a customer favorite. Let us know what YOU think!
