UpCountry Brewing was actually set up in 2016 by craft beer industry veteran John Cochran. Even though you're actually on a diet, we are going to do everything to accommodate you. We have got a lot choices for the entire family and we even have kid-friendly and dog-friendly meals.
When you've worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the ideal place to meet up with friends or family and satisfy your hunger. After eating your dinner, lunch or snack, you can try the corn hole or other activities that we have got scheduled at the brewery. Aside from live music, we also provide yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry can be selecting a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry already worked different organizations including Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry can be hosting the pint night with a unique glass that can change every week. Clients purchase a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with ten percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is essential, and these pint nights are just one way for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the neighboring locations like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist of the month with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist every month to show their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display in addition to for buy. Aside from the month long campaign, the artist can also get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and also discuss their work along a pint glass featuring the work of the artist. We are also hosting other bands like Mama Danger, Cat and Crow, Astral Plainsmen, Sirius B., The Dirty Badgers, The Junk Drawer, The Free Wheelin' Mamas, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Cyndi Lou and The Wish to, Moonlight Street Folk and more.
Aside from hosting live music, it is already known that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery has been known for live streaming music, but it is extra attention to when Phish plays. They pull down the large projection screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance. Other live streams the brewery is recognized for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry will invariably encourage Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy brews and boogie.

UpCountry Brewing provides beer tours by special request. Just check our website for information! Good Beer Hunting
UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been top notch thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an exceptional job with creating the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are plenty of canning designs on the way so you should stay tuned.
If you do not know yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Cochran will unquestionably wear his jersey so you need to keep an eye out.
