When you've worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the perfect place to meet up with friends or family and satisfy your hunger. After you eat your dinner, lunch or snack, you could always try our corn hole and other activities scheduled at the brewery. Together with live music, we host a yoga class on Sunday mornings, music bingo on Wednesdays, and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry can select a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly along with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist each month to show their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display along with for buy. Aside from the month long campaign, the artist will also get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can display and discuss their work and a pint glass feature the work of the artist will be available. UpCountry brewing is proud to give live, local music every night. We are even hosting those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. It's going to include different bands including The Dirty Dead, The Paper Crowns and Phuncle Sam. Other bands that we love to host include The Junk Drawer, Mama Danger, the Free Wheelin' Mamas, Cat and Crow, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Astral Plainsmen, Cyndi Lou and The Wish to, Sirius B., Moonlight Street Folk, The Dirty Badgers, and several more.
Aside from live music, it's not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery was recognized for live streaming music, but it's sensitive to Phish plays. They will pull down the huge projection screen to be able to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance freely. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an exceptional job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. You should stay tuned since there are several more canning designs that are on the way.
If you do not have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is really a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
