With twenty of its own beers on tap, the brew house is constantly thinking up and creating new beers for Asheville to enjoy. Beer to go features a growler with your preference of beer, or cans of the Mangose, UpCo Lager, Hop Dread Red IPA, or Bogey Free Session IPA. We have our extensive beer list that is great for beer nerds everywhere. We always value creativity and daring recipes together with those go-to, easy drinking styles that everyone would enjoy. We've lately been infusing some of our brews with several syrups and flavors for an extra creative kick. The brewery also contains a Randall for infusions and also a pilot brew system to take the brewing one step further. We are centering on experimentation and seeing the deliciousness that we can create using the knowledge from every brewer.
Together with offering delicious beer, UpCountry has red and white wines along with a full liquor bar of whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, and other spirits for everyone to enjoy. Together with liquor, UpCountry offers craft signature cocktails that rotate throughout the year according to the season.
Together with brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry offers a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We even have dessert selections for the folks who love sweets. Our wide menu variety offers something for everyone! We're also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even though you're on a diet, we are going to do our best to accommodate you. We have plenty of selections for the whole family, along with kid-friendly and dog friendly menu for friends and family to enjoy.
When you've worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the ideal place to meet up with friends or family and satisfy your hunger. After eating your dinner, lunch or snack, you may try the corn hole or other activities that we've got scheduled at the brewery. Apart from live music, we've got a yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry can pick a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry has worked with organizations for example Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will be hosting the pint night with a unique glass that will change every week. Customers can buy a featured beer and they can also keep the glass, with 10 percent profit going to the featured nonprofit. Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing helps local art and music in Asheville and close, surrounding places, for example Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly together with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will be showcasing one artist a month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for purchase and display. UpCountry brewing is always proud to offer live, local music on a nightly basis. Once you've taken the friends and family to the tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, bring them down to UpCountry for an intimate night of Bluegrass, Open Mic, Music Bingo, or live local music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We are always proud to host solo musicians for example Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We even host those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. It's going to include several bands for example The Paper Crowns, The Dirty Dead and Phuncle Sam. We are also hosting other bands like Mama Danger, Cat and Crow, Astral Plainsmen, Sirius B., The Dirty Badgers, The Junk Drawer, The Free Wheelin' Mamas, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Cyndi Lou and The Want to, Moonlight Street Folk and more.
Together with hosting live music, it's no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They usually pull down the huge projector screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is noted for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry will invariably encourage Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy brews and boogie.

For the folks who are only passing through, UpCountry can offer a welcoming and personable experience. Our staff is friendly and Cicerone certified, meaning we are knowledgeable in all things beer! Our beer-tenders are able to offer suggestions based on the types of beer you and your friends enjoy. It is referred to as the Beer City Capital of the United States.

UpCountry's latest logo re-design is the best thanks to the Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg did a terrific job in developing the labeling artwork for Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, UpCo Mountain Lager and Hop Dread. There are tons of canning designs on the way so you should stay tuned.
For those who do not know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
