UpCountry Brewing started in 2016 by John Cochran, who is known as craft beer industry veteran. Along with hosting live music, it's no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They typically pull down the large projector screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is recognized for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry encourages Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done a phenomenal job with creating the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are plenty of canning designs on the way so you must stay tuned.
If you don't have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is definitely a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
