UpCountry Brewing is located at 1042 Haywood Road in West Asheville and it is a brewery, taproom and also a music venue.

We've got over 20 types of beers on tap and we are still planning to produce new beers that everyone will surely enjoy. Each month, UpCountry selects a different local nonprofit to represent their 'Miracle Pint Night' each Thursday. UpCountry already worked different organizations including Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry hosts the pint night with a unique glass that varies week by week. Consumers will surely buy a featured beer and they could keep the glass. The 10 percent of the sales will be going to the nonprofit orgs. At UpCountry, community is basically important and these pint nights will be a method for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the surrounding locations like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly together with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will display one artist each month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and purchase. Aside from the month long campaign, the artist will also get a designated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month is present and able to discuss their work, and a pint glass featuring the artist's work is available for purchase. UpCountry will always value the support of local music, art and beer and they'll continue to support all of these. Community and business relationships are important for John Cochran, the owner of UpCountry, together with the support of the staff so the brewery will always anticipate continue the Pint Nights.
UpCountry brewing is proud to offer live, local music almost every night. If you will take your friends and family members to tourist spots including Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, you could always bring them to UpCountry for a night of Bluegrass, Music bingo, Open Mic, and live local music. Along with hosting live music, it's no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery was noted for live streaming music, but it is sensitive to Phish plays. They are going to pull down the large projector screen to be able to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance freely. Other live streams the brewery is definitely noted for could include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry encourages Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

UpCountry's latest logo re-design have been the best and it is all thanks to Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done a phenomenal job with creating the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are a lot of canning designs on the way so you should stay tuned.
If you don't know yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
