Each month, UpCountry can choose a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry already worked different organizations including Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry hosts the pint night with a unique glass that varies week by week. Customers can buy a featured beer and they can also keep the glass, with 10 percent profit going to the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is unquestionably important and the pint nights could be an excellent way to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the surrounding places like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist monthly with Bad Craft, an artist shop located in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery could be presenting one artist a month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for purchase and display. Together with a month long campaign, each artists gets a designated Pint Night at the brewery along with at Bad Craft. The artist of the month is present and able to discuss their work, and a pint glass featuring the artist's work is available for purchase. UpCountry values the support of local art, music, and beer, and will continue to show their support for all of these avenues of Asheville. Community and business relationships are incredibly important to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, along with the UpCountry staff, so the brewery anticipates continue Pint Nights like these to support!
UpCountry brewing is proud to offer live, local music almost every night. If you will take your friends and family members to tourist spots including Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, you can always bring them to UpCountry for a night of Bluegrass, Music bingo, Open Mic, and live local music. We like to host solo musicians including Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We are even hosting those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. It is going to include different bands including The Dirty Dead, The Paper Crowns and Phuncle Sam. Other bands that we love to host include The Junk Drawer, Mama Danger, the Free Wheelin' Mamas, Cat and Crow, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Astral Plainsmen, Cyndi Lou and The Want to, Sirius B., Moonlight Street Folk, The Dirty Badgers, and several more.
Apart from live music, it's not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They pull down the huge projector screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance. Other live streams the brewery is noted for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry motivates Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

Our beer-tenders are able to offer suggestions based on the kinds of beer you and your friends enjoy. It's known as the Beer City Capital of the United States.
UpCountry Brewing may offer beer tours by special request and you can look at our website for info. Apart from beer tastings and a tour in the new taproom, you will be able to get a guided tour of the brew house and a crash course on how to make and produce beer. Good Beer Hunting
UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been top notch thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an outstanding job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
If you don't know yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Cochran will unquestionably wear his jersey so you should keep an eye out.
