UpCountry Brewing was actually set up in 2016 by craft beer industry veteran John Cochran. Along with availability in the taproom, UpCountry's beer may be found all over town in different grocery stores, bottle shops, and bars in Asheville, including towns like Woodfin, Waynesville, Canton, Candler, Black Mountain, Arden, Hendersonville, Weaverville, and surrounding locations.
Our extensive beer list is great for beer nerds everywhere. We value creativity more than anything else in addition to daring recipes that everyone will absolutely enjoy. We are infusing a lot of our brews with different syrups and flavors that can offer an additional creative kick. The brewery also has a Randall for infusions and a pilot brew system to help take the brewing a step further. We always focus on experimentation and seeing the deliciousness that we can make with the usage of the knowledge from the brewers.
Aside from this, we provide delicious beer and UpCountry also offers red and white wines and a full liquor bar of gin, vodka, whiskey, tequila and others. You do not need to be a hard-core beer aficionado to be able to enjoy our alcohol since we have selections for everyone. Along with liquor, UpCountry offers craft signature cocktails that rotate through the year according to the season.

Each month, UpCountry will be choosing a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry definitely worked with different organizations before like Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry hosts the pint night with a unique glass that varies week by week. Consumers buy a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with ten percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is absolutely important and these pint nights will be a way for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing helps local art and music in Asheville and close, surrounding locations, including Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist monthly with Bad Craft, an artist shop situated in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will be featuring one artist a month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for purchase and display. Along with a month long campaign, each artists gets a designated Pint Night at the brewery in addition to at Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and discuss their work and a pint glass feature the work of the artist will be available. UpCountry will always support the local music, art and beer in your community and will continue to do this in the foreseeable future. Community and business relationships are extremely important to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, in addition to the UpCountry staff, so the brewery anticipates continue Pint Nights like these to support!
UpCountry brewing is always proud to offer live, local music on a nightly basis. Along with hosting live music, it is no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They will pull down the large projector screen to be able to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance freely. The other known live streams that the brewery is concentrating on are Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry will always encourage Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy brews and boogie.

Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an exceptional job with creating the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
If you do not have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is definitely a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Cochran will absolutely wear his jersey so you need to keep an eye out.
