UpCountry Brewing was actually founded by John Cochran in 2016 and he is referred to as a craft beer industry veteran. John actually worked alongside beer-related jobs in his twenty years in brewing and he is very fired up to return to his roots by offering a small, local brewery centering on fun times, great beers and best friends. UpCountry Brewing is now located at 1042 Haywood Road in West Asheville and it is a tap room, music venue and a brewery.
UpCountry Brewing offers a number of beer styles, including saisons, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts, and more. With twenty of its own beers on tap, the brew house is continuously thinking about and creating new beers for Asheville to enjoy. UpCountry Brewing may offer goblets, pints, flights and a 22-ounce pour in the taproom. Additionally, the brewery has beer to go for purchase! Beer to go features a growler with your preference of beer, or cans of the Mangose, UpCo Lager, Hop Dread Red IPA, or Bogey Free Session IPA. The brewery also includes a Randall for infusions and also a pilot brew system to take the brewing one step further. We are all about experimenting and seeing what deliciousness we can produce using the knowledge from each brewer!

Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the surrounding places like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.

Together with a month long campaign, each artists gets a designated Pint Night at the brewery along with at Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and also discuss their work along a pint glass featuring the work of the artist. UpCountry values the support of local art, music, and beer, and will continue to exhibit their support for all of these avenues of Asheville. Community and business relationships are important for John Cochran, the owner of UpCountry, together with the support of the staff so the brewery will always look ahead to continue the Pint Nights.

They usually pull down the huge projector screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is recognized for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry will always encourage Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy brews and boogie.
