We've got been infusing some of our brews with different syrups and flavors that could offer an extra creative kick. The brewery also has a Randall for infusions and a pilot brew system to help take the brewing a step further. We're all about experimenting and seeing what deliciousness we can create using the knowledge from each brewer!
Together with offering delicious beer, UpCountry has red and white wines along with a full liquor bar of whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, and other spirits for everyone to enjoy. We've got selections for everyone so you do not have to be a full-on beer lover in order to enjoy our alcohol. Together with liquor, UpCountry offers craft signature cocktails that rotate throughout the year based on the season.
Together with brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry offers a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We even have dessert selections for the folks who love sweets. Our wide menu variety offers something for everyone! We're also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even if you're actually on a diet, we are going to do everything to accommodate you. We've got plenty of selections for the entire family, along with kid-friendly and dog friendly menu for friends and family to enjoy.
When you have worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the ideal place to connect to family or friends and satisfy your hunger. After devouring your lunch, dinner, or snack, enjoy corn hole or one of the lots of activities we've got scheduled at the brewery. Aside from live music, we've got a yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry will be picking a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry has worked with organizations for example Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry hosts the pint night with a unique glass that varies week by week. Customers buy a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with ten percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is important, and these pint nights are just one method for the brewery to provide back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing helps local art and music in Asheville and close, surrounding places, for example Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly along with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will be showcasing one artist a month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for purchase and display. Together with a month long campaign, each artists gets a designated Pint Night at the brewery along with at Bad Craft. The artist of the month can display and discuss their work and a pint glass feature the work of the artist will be available. UpCountry will invariably support the local music, art and beer in the area and will carry on doing this in the future. Community and business relationships are important for John Cochran, the owner of UpCountry, along with the support of the staff so the brewery will invariably anticipate continue the Pint Nights.
UpCountry brewing is proud to offer live, local music almost every night. If you are going to take your friends and family members to tourist spots for example Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, you could always bring them to UpCountry for a night of Bluegrass, Music bingo, Open Mic, and live local music. We love hosting solo musicians like Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. Apart from hosting live music, it's already known that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery is known for live streaming music, but it's extra focus on when Phish plays. They pull down the huge projector screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance. Other live streams the brewery is recognized for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry motivates Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been highly rated thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an outstanding job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
For those who do not know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
