UpCountry Brewing started by John Cochran in 2016 and he is popularly known as one of the best in the craft beer industry since nineteen nineties. UpCountry Brewing offers numerous types of beer styles, including saisons, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts, and more. With twenty of its own beers on tap, the brew house is continuously thinking about and making new beers for Asheville to enjoy. UpCountry offers flights, goblets, pints, and even a twenty-two ounce pour in the taproom. Additionally, the brewery has beer to go for purchase! Beer to go features a growler with your preference of beer, or cans of the Mangose, UpCo Lager, Hop Dread Red IPA, or Bogey Free Session IPA. Together with availability in the taproom, UpCountry's beer can be found all over town in several grocery stores, bottle shops, and bars in Asheville, including towns like Woodfin, Waynesville, Canton, Candler, Black Mountain, Arden, Hendersonville, Weaverville, and surrounding places.
We have got our extensive beer list that is the best for beer nerds everywhere. We always value creativity and daring recipes together with those go-to, easy drinking styles that everyone would enjoy. We've lately been infusing some of our brews with several syrups and flavors for an extra creative kick. The brewery also has a Randall for infusions and a pilot brew system to help take the brewing one step further. We're all about experimenting and seeing what deliciousness we can create using the knowledge from each brewer!
Together with offering delicious beer, UpCountry has red and white wines along with a full liquor bar of whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, and other spirits for everyone to enjoy. You don't need to be a full on beer lover in order to enjoy our alcohol since we have got selections for everyone. Apart from liquor, UpCountry will offer signature cocktails that may rotate throughout the year based on the season.
Together with brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry offers a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We have got dessert selections for the sweet tooths out there, too! Our wide menu variety offers something for everyone! We're also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even when you're on a diet, we're going to do our best to accommodate you. We have plenty of selections for the entire family, along with kid-friendly and dog friendly menu for friends and family to enjoy.
When you have worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the ideal place to interact with family or friends and satisfy your hunger. After eating your dinner, lunch or snack, you could try the corn hole or other activities that we have got scheduled at the brewery. Together with live music, we host a yoga class on Sunday mornings, music bingo on Wednesdays, and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry can pick a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry already worked several organizations for example Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will host the pint night with a unique glass that will be changed every week. Customers can buy a featured beer and they can also keep the glass, with 10 percent profit going to the featured nonprofit. Local Art And Music

UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly together with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. We are also hosting other bands like Mama Danger, Cat and Crow, Astral Plainsmen, Sirius B., The Dirty Badgers, The Junk Drawer, The Free Wheelin' Mamas, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Cyndi Lou and The Want to, Moonlight Street Folk and more.
Apart from live music, it is not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They generally pull down the huge projector screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is actually noted for could include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. We offer all of our music with NO cover charge. UpCountry does not want to limit live music to having a cover charge, which is why all of our events are free to the public.

Good Beer Hunting
UpCountry's latest logo re-design is the best thanks to the Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done a phenomenal job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
If you don't know yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
