Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the neighboring locations like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist monthly with Bad Craft, an artist shop positioned in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will display one artist every month to show their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and buy. Aside from a month long campaign, every artist will get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can display and discuss their work and a pint glass feature the work of the artist will be available. UpCountry values the support of local art, music, and beer, and will continue to exhibit their support for all of these avenues of Asheville. UpCountry brewing is proud to provide live, local music every night. Once you've taken the family and friends to the tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, bring them down to UpCountry for an intimate night of Bluegrass, Open Mic, Music Bingo, or live local music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We are always proud to host solo musicians like Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We also love hosting those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes! It's going to include different bands like The Paper Crowns, The Dirty Dead and Phuncle Sam. We also have other bands that we love to host like The Junk Drawer, Mama Danger, the Free Wheelin' Mamas, Cat and Crow, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Astral Plainsmen, Cyndi Lou and The Wish to, Sirius B., Moonlight Street Folk, The Dirty Badgers, and several more.
Along with hosting live music, it is no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery was noted for live streaming music, but it's responsive to Phish plays. They pull down the large projection screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance. The other known live streams that the brewery is concentrating on are Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry encourages Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!
