John has a wide experience when it comes to beer-related jobs because he's been in this industry for more than 20 years so he is quite excited to go back to his roots by providing a local brewery focusing on great beer, fun times and good friends.
UpCountry Brewing is a brewery, taproom, and music venue found at 1042 Haywood Road in West Asheville. We like to state that we brew our beer in "West, West Asheville," as it is the brewery located furthest west prior to leaving Beer City itself.
UpCountry Brewing can provide plenty of beer styles, that might include saisons, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts and more. We've got over 20 types of beers on tap and we are still looking to create new beers that everyone will definitely enjoy. UpCountry Brewing can offer flights, pints, goblets and also a 22-once pour in the taproom. Also, the brewery has beer to go ready for purchase. Beer to go would include a growler with your choice of beer or cans of the Mangose, UpCo Lager, Hop Dread Red IPA, or Bogey Free Session IPA. In addition to availability in the taproom, UpCountry's beer can be found all over town in various grocery stores, bottle shops, and bars in Asheville, including towns like Woodfin, Waynesville, Canton, Candler, Black Mountain, Arden, Hendersonville, Weaverville, and surrounding areas.
We've got our extensive beer list that's the best for beer nerds everywhere. We value creativity and daring recipes as well as those go-to, easy drinking styles that anybody can enjoy. We've got been infusing a lot of our brews with various syrups and flavors that will offer an extra creative kick. The brewery also has a Randall for infusions and a pilot brew system to help take the brewing one step further. We always concentrate on experimentation and seeing the deliciousness that we can make with the use of the knowledge from the brewers.
In addition to providing delicious beer, UpCountry has red and white wines as well as a full liquor bar of whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, and other spirits for everyone to enjoy. Each month, UpCountry will choose a different local nonprofit that might represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry already worked with various organizations like Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School.
On Thursdays, UpCountry will host the pint night together with a unique glass. Customers can actually buy a featured beer and they can keep the glass. The 10 percent of the sales of that beer will go to the featured nonprofit organization. This is vitally important for UpCountry since they are actually using pint night to provide back to the community.
