In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist monthly with Bad Craft, an artist shop situated in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist every month to display their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display along with for purchase. Apart from a month long campaign, every artist will get a designated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and also discuss their work along a pint glass featuring the work of the artist. Together with hosting live music, it is no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery was known for live streaming music, but it's responsive to Phish plays. They are going to pull down the huge projector screen to be able to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance freely. The other known live streams that the brewery is centering on are Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry's latest logo re-design has been highly rated thanks to friends at Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg did an incredible job in developing the labeling artwork for Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, UpCo Mountain Lager and Hop Dread. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
For those who don't know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Cochran will unquestionably wear his jersey so you need to keep an eye out.
