News On How To Locate West Asheville Beer
Our mission at UpCountry Brewing is to help build great experiences and to share our passion when it comes to local music, beer crafting and more. We are doing this by focusing on the Carolina mountain region where we're located.
As a community oriented brewery, West Asheville taproom is your best destination if you would like to have an adventure while you are catching up with your family and friends. With a large backyard, intimate indoor seating, and a generous space for live local music, UpCountry Brewing serves numerous types of craft beer styles while giving a full brewpub food menu for locals and visitors alike.
UpCountry Brewing was first established in 2016 by craft beer industry veteran John Cochran. John has a wide experience when it comes to beer-related jobs because he's been in this industry for more than 20 years so he is quite excited to go back to his roots by offering a local brewery focusing on great beer, fun times and good friends.
UpCountry Brewing is known as a brewery, taproom and also a music venue located at 1042 Haywood Road in West Asheville. We like to claim that we brew our beer in "West, West Asheville," as it's the brewery located furthest west before leaving Beer City itself.
UpCountry Brewing offers numerous types of beer styles, including saisons, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts, and more. With approximately 20 of its own beers on tap, the brew house is thinking about making new beers for everyone to enjoy. UpCountry Brewing will offer flights, pints, goblets and also a 22-once pour in the taproom. In addition, the brewery has beer to go for purchase! Beer to go includes a growler with your choice of beer, or cans of the Mangose, UpCo Lager, Hop Dread Red IPA, or Bogey Free Session IPA. In addition to availability in the taproom, UpCountry's beer can be found all over town in various grocery stores, bottle shops, and bars in Asheville, including towns like Woodfin, Waynesville, Canton, Candler, Black Mountain, Arden, Hendersonville, Weaverville, and surrounding areas.
Our extensive beer list is ideal for beer nerds everywhere. We always value creativity and daring recipes together with those go-to, easy drinking styles that everyone would enjoy. We've recently been infusing some of our brews with various syrups and flavors for an additional creative kick. The brewery also includes a Randall for infusions and also a pilot brew system to take the brewing one step further. We are focusing on experimentation and seeing the deliciousness that we can produce using the knowledge from every brewer.
In addition to offering delicious beer, UpCountry has red and white wines as well as a full liquor bar of whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, and other spirits for everyone to enjoy. You don't have to be a hard core beer lover to be able to enjoy our alcohol since we have options for everyone. Apart from liquor, UpCountry might also offer signature cocktails that will rotate throughout the year based on the season.
In addition to brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry offers a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. After consuming your lunch, dinner, or snack, enjoy corn hole or one of the a lot of activities we have scheduled at the brewery. Apart from live music, we have a yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Every month, UpCountry can choose a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry already worked various organizations for example Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will be hosting the pint night with a unique glass which will change every week. Customers buy a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with 10 percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is basically important and these pint nights will be a method for the brewery to provide back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is really supporting local art and music in Asheville and all the surrounding areas for example Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist of the month with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist each month to display their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display as well as for purchase. Apart from a month long campaign, every artist will get a designated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month can present and also discuss their work along a pint glass featuring the work of the artist. UpCountry will always support the local music, art and beer in your community and will continue to do this in the future. Community and business relationships are incredibly important to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, as well as the UpCountry staff, so the brewery looks forward to continue Pint Nights like these to support!

They generally pull down the big projector screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is noted for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry encourages Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!
