UpCountry Brewing was established in 2016 by John Cochran, who is known as a craft beer industry veteran since the mid 90s. John worked with beer-related jobs in his more than Twenty years in brewing and he is extremely excited to get back to his root by providing a small, local brewery with a spotlight on fun times, fantastic beers and good friends. UpCountry Brewing could be present in 1042 Haywood Road in West Asheville and this is a taproom, brewery and a music venue.
UpCountry Brewing can offer a range of beer styles, which would include saisons, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts and much more. Apart from live music, it's not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery was known for live streaming music, but it's responsive to Phish plays. They'll pull down the large projection screen to be able to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everybody can dance freely. UpCountry's latest logo re-design is the ideal thanks to the Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an exceptional job with creating the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are a lot of canning designs on the way so you should stay tuned.
If you do not have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is actually a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
