Our extensive beer list is perfect for beer nerds everywhere. We value creativity and daring recipes in addition to those go-to, easy drinking styles that anybody can enjoy. We have been infusing some of our brews with various syrups and flavors that will provide an extra creative kick. The brewery also contains a Randall for infusions and also a pilot brew system to take the brewing one step further. Even when you're on a diet, we're going to do our best to accommodate you. We have a lot of choices for the entire family and we're kid and dog friendly that you can enjoy.

When you have worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the ideal place to connect with family or friends and satisfy your hunger. After devouring your lunch, dinner, or snack, enjoy corn hole or one of the many activities we have got scheduled at the brewery. Apart from live music, we have got a yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.

Community

Each month, UpCountry prefers a different local nonprofit to represent their 'Miracle Pint Night' each Thursday. UpCountry has worked with organizations for example Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will be hosting the pint night with a unique glass that will change every week. Customers will certainly buy a featured beer and they can keep the glass. The ten percent of the sales will be going to the nonprofit orgs. At UpCountry, community is absolutely important and these pint nights will be a way for the brewery to give back.

Local Art And Music

UpCountry Brewing is definitely supporting local art and music in Asheville and all the surrounding locations for example Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.

UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly along with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will showcase one artist each month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and purchase. Along with a month long campaign, each artists gets a designated Pint Night at the brewery in addition to at Bad Craft. The artist of the month can show and discuss their work and a pint glass feature the work of the artist will be available. UpCountry will invariably value the support of local music, art and beer and they're going to continue to support all of these. Community and business relationships are important for John Cochran, the owner of UpCountry, along with the support of the staff so the brewery will invariably look ahead to continue the Pint Nights.

Music

UpCountry brewing is always proud to offer live, local music on a nightly basis. Once you've taken the friends and family to the tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, bring them down to UpCountry for an intimate night of Bluegrass, Open Mic, Music Bingo, or live local music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We like to host solo musicians for example Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We also love hosting those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes! It'll include different bands for example The Paper Crowns, The Dirty Dead and Phuncle Sam. We also have other bands that we love to host like The Junk Drawer, Mama Danger, the Free Wheelin' Mamas, Cat and Crow, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Astral Plainsmen, Cyndi Lou and The Want to, Sirius B., Moonlight Street Folk, The Dirty Badgers, and several more.

Apart from live music, it's not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery was recognized for live streaming music, but it's sensitive to Phish plays. They are going to pull down the large projector screen in order to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance freely. Other live streams the brewery is recognized for include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry motivates Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

We offer all our music with no cover charge. UpCountry does not want to limit live music to having a cover charge, which is why all of our events are free to the public.

UpCountry's latest logo re-design have been the best and it's all thanks to Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg did a fantastic job in creating the labeling artwork for Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, UpCo Mountain Lager and Hop Dread. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!

Georgia Bulldogs

If you don't have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is definitely a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
