Step-By-Step Effortless Suggestions When Thinking Of Asheville Beer
UpCountry Brewing's mission is to create brilliant experiences while expressing our passion for craft beer, local music, and for obtaining outside. We achieve this by focusing on the Carolina mountain region where we live and play.
As a community focused brewery, our West Asheville taproom is the right destination to plan your next adventure while catching up with family and friends. With a large backyard, intimate indoor seating, and a generous space for live local music, UpCountry Brewing serves numerous types of craft beer styles while giving a full brewpub food menu for locals and visitors alike.
UpCountry Brewing began in 2016 by John Cochran, a craft beer industry veteran since the mid-1990's. John has a wide experience when it comes to beer-related jobs because he's been in this industry for more than 20 years so he is very excited to go back to his roots by providing a local brewery focusing on fantastic beer, fun times and good friends.
UpCountry Brewing is referred to as a brewery, taproom and also a music venue located at 1042 Haywood Road in West Asheville. We like to say that we brew our beer in "West, West Asheville," as it is the brewery located furthest west before leaving Beer City itself.
UpCountry Brewing is widely recognized for their beer craft and they provide a wide range of beer styles that include saisons, sours, porters, IPAs, stouts and much more. We have 20 beers at the tap and we always think of adding and creating new beers for the locals of Asheville. UpCountry Brewing may even offer flights, goblets, pints and a 22-ounce pour in the taproom. The brewery even contains beers to go and it would include a growler with your choice of beer or cans of Mangose, Hop Dread Red IPA, UpCo Lager or Bogey Free Session IPA.
UpCountry Brewing may even be bought anywhere in the area like bottle shops, supermarkets and bars. You may see them in different towns like Waynesville, Woodfin, Candler, Canton, Arden, Black Mountain, Weaverville, Hendersonville and other areas. We also have a wide range of beer that may be great for all the beer lovers out there and we always focus on creativeness while we're creating different recipes. We may infuse our brews with syrups and flavors to give them a unique taste. We also have a Randall made for infusions and we also have a pilot brew system to make unique tastes.
We are currently experimenting on the beers that we currently have to ensure that we can offer a unique taste for you.
Aside from beer, UpCountry Brewing also has white and red wines and other drinks like whiskey, gin, tequila, vodka and more. You do not have to be a hardcore beer drinker to visit our place because you have a lot of alternatives.
In addition to brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry provides a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We even have dessert selections for the people who love sweets. Our wide menu variety provides something for everybody! We are also vegan and gluten-free friendly. When you have worked up an appetite by hiking at the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the perfect place to meet with your friends and satisfy your hunger. After you eat your dinner, lunch or snack, you may always try our corn hole and other activities scheduled at the brewery. In addition to live music, we host a yoga class on Sunday mornings, music bingo on Wednesdays, and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Every month, UpCountry will be choosing a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry has worked with organizations like Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will host the pint night with a unique glass which will be changed every week. Clients purchase a featured beer and get to keep the glass, with ten percent of that beer's sales going towards the featured nonprofit. At UpCountry, community is essential, and these pint nights are just one way for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is really supporting local art and music in Asheville and all the neighboring areas like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
UpCountry always hosts a local artist monthly along with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist each month to show their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display as well as for buy. Aside from the month long campaign, the artist will also get a delegated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month is there and able to discuss their work, and a pint glass featuring the artist's work is available for buy. UpCountry values the support of local art, music, and beer, and will continue to exhibit their support for all of these avenues of Asheville. Community and business relationships are really essential to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, as well as the UpCountry staff, so the brewery looks forward to continue Pint Nights like these to support!
UpCountry brewing is proud to provide live, local music almost every night. The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They generally pull down the big projection screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is really recognized for would include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry encourages Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

There are tons of canning designs on the way so you should stay tuned.
