UpCountry Brewing started in 2016 by John Cochran, who is known as craft beer industry veteran. Along with hosting live music, it is no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery is known for live streaming music, but it's extra focus on when Phish plays. They'll pull down the large projector screen to be able to stream the show and clear all the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance freely. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done a phenomenal job with creating the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
For those who don't know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has now become a go to spot in Asheville in watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Cochran will certainly wear his jersey so you should keep an eye out.
