If you love sweets, we also have different dessert options available for you. Our wide menu variety offers something for everyone! We're also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even though you're actually on a diet, we are going to try everything to accommodate you. We've got plenty of options for the whole family, along with kid-friendly and dog friendly menu for friends and family to enjoy.
When you have worked up an appetite hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the best place to interact with family or friends and satisfy your hunger. After devouring your lunch, dinner, or snack, enjoy corn hole or one of the lots of activities we have scheduled at the brewery. Apart from live music, we have a yoga class during Sunday, music bingo on Wednesday and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry chooses a different local nonprofit to represent their 'Miracle Pint Night' each Thursday. UpCountry has worked with organizations like Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry could be hosting the pint night with a unique glass which will change every week. Consumers will unquestionably buy a featured beer and they can keep the glass. The ten percent of the sales could be going to the nonprofit organizations. At UpCountry, community is absolutely important and these pint nights could be a way for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing is always supporting local art and music in Asheville and the surrounding places like Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist of the month with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery will show off one artist each month to display their artwork at the taproom of UpCountry for display and purchase. Apart from the month long campaign, the artist will also get a designated Pint Night at the brewery and Bad Craft. The artist of the month is there and able to discuss their work, and a pint glass featuring the artist's work is available for purchase. UpCountry will invariably support the local music, art and beer in your community and will carry on doing this in the foreseeable future. Community and business relationships are extremely important to UpCountry's owner, John Cochran, along with the UpCountry staff, so the brewery looks forward to continue Pint Nights like these to support!
UpCountry brewing is always proud to offer live, local music on a nightly basis. If you are going to take your friends and family members to tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, you could always bring them to UpCountry for a night of Bluegrass, Music bingo, Open Mic, and live local music. We're always proud to host solo musicians like Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We even host those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. It will include several bands like The Paper Crowns, The Dirty Dead and Phuncle Sam. We're also hosting other bands like Mama Danger, Cat and Crow, Astral Plainsmen, Sirius B., The Dirty Badgers, The Junk Drawer, The Free Wheelin' Mamas, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Cyndi Lou and The Want to, Moonlight Street Folk and more.
Apart from live music, it is not a secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans. The brewery has been known for live streaming music, but it is extra attention to when Phish plays. They typically pull down the huge projector screen to stream each show and clear out the chairs and tables in the music room so that Asheville can dance it out! Other live streams the brewery is actually noted for would include Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry motivates Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

UpCountry Brewing values being family and kid friendly. We've got a huge outdoor patio space with games designed for kids and a cornhole set for family and friends to enjoy. Our patio and courtyard are dog friendly, so bring the pup too!

UpCountry's latest logo re-design have been the best and it is all thanks to Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg have done an exceptional job with developing the labeling artwork for UpCountry's Hop Dread, Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, and UpCo Mountain Lager. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
If you do not have any idea yet, the owner of UpCountry Brewing is actually a DAWG Alum. UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. Keep an eye out, because Cochran will wear his jersey.
