We've lately been infusing some of our brews with several syrups and flavors for an extra creative kick. The brewery also contains a Randall for infusions and also a pilot brew system to take the brewing one step further. Together with brewing and selling delicious beer, UpCountry offers a full food menu featuring appetizers, pizzas, burgers, salads, hot dogs, soups, and even meals for dogs. We have got dessert selections for the sweet tooths out there, too! Our wide menu variety offers something for everyone! We're also vegan and gluten-free friendly. Even when you're on a diet, we are going to do our best to accommodate you. We have got plenty of selections for the whole family, along with kid-friendly and dog friendly menu for friends and family to enjoy.
Once you have worked up an appetite by hiking at the Blue Ridge Parkway or floating down the French Broad River, UpCountry is the best place to speak to your friends and satisfy your hunger. After eating your dinner, lunch or snack, you could try the corn hole or other activities that we have scheduled at the brewery. Together with live music, we host a yoga class on Sunday mornings, music bingo on Wednesdays, and local pint nights on Thursdays.
Each month, UpCountry will be picking a local nonprofit to represent their "Miracle Pint Night" every Thursday. UpCountry has worked with organizations such as Friends of the Smokies, Habitat for Humanity, LEAF, Asheville Humane Society, and The Rainbow School. On Thursdays, UpCountry will host the pint night with a unique glass that will be changed every week. Customers will surely buy a featured beer and they can keep the glass. The 10 percent of the sales will be going to the nonprofit organizations. At UpCountry, community is important, and these pint nights are only one way for the brewery to give back.
Local Art And Music
UpCountry Brewing supports local art and music in Asheville and close, surrounding places, such as Black Mountain, Woodfin, East Asheville, and the River Arts District.
In house, UpCountry hosts a local artist of the month with Bad Craft, an artist shop in Black Mountain, NC. The brewery showcases one artist every month to display their artwork in UpCountry's taproom for display along with for purchase. Together with a month long campaign, each artists gets a designated Pint Night at the brewery along with at Bad Craft. The artist of the month is there and able to discuss their work, and a pint glass featuring the artist's work is available for purchase. UpCountry will invariably support the local music, art and beer in the area and will carry on doing this in the future. Community and business relationships are important for John Cochran, the owner of UpCountry, along with the support of the staff so the brewery will invariably anticipate continue the Pint Nights.
UpCountry brewing is proud to offer live, local music almost every night. Once you've taken the friends and family to the tourist spots like Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, bring them down to UpCountry for an intimate night of Bluegrass, Open Mic, Music Bingo, or live local music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We are always proud to host solo musicians such as Dave Desmelik, Anya Hinkle, Old Sap, Stephen Horvath, Robin Lewis, Nikki Forbes, Scott Stetson, and more. We even host those Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead Tributes. These include bands like Phuncle Sam, The Paper Crowns, and The Dirty Dead. We have got other bands that we love to host like The Junk Drawer, Mama Danger, the Free Wheelin' Mamas, Cat and Crow, Kaizen with Jeff Sipe, Astral Plainsmen, Cyndi Lou and The Want to, Sirius B., Moonlight Street Folk, The Dirty Badgers, and several more.
Together with hosting live music, it's no secret that UpCountry Brewing is a bunch of hardcore Phish fans! The brewery is well-known for live streaming music, but is extra attentive to when Phish plays. They pull down the huge projector screen to stream the show and clear the chairs and tables in the music room so everyone can dance. The other known live streams that the brewery is centering on are Widespread Panic, Dead and Co., and Umphrey's McGee. UpCountry motivates Asheville to bring some friends, enjoy some brews, and boogie!

We offer all of our music with NO cover charge. UpCountry does not want to limit live music to having a cover charge, which is why all of our events are free to the public.

UpCountry Brewing values being family and kid friendly. We have got a huge outdoor patio space with games for the kiddos along with a cornhole set for friends and family to enjoy. Our patio and courtyard is also dog friendly so bring them with you.
At UpCountry Brewing, we always feel that beer and outdoors are related. UpCountry values the outdoor activities that Asheville has to offer, anything from floating down the river to tackling a strenuous mountain trail. Plenty of Asheville residents and visitors love to stay at our outdoor space.

UpCountry Brewing offers beer tours by special request. Just check our website for information! Good Beer Hunting
UpCountry's latest logo re-design is the best thanks to the Good Beer Hunting in Chicago, IL. Designers Michael Kiser, Cooper Foszcz, and Mike Duesenberg did a fantastic job in developing the labeling artwork for Mangose, Isoprene Hazy IPA, UpCo Mountain Lager and Hop Dread. There are several more canning designs on the way, so stay tuned for what UpCountry and Good Beer Hunting come up with!
For those who don't know, UpCountry Brewing's owner, John Cochran, is a DAWG Alum! UpCountry has become a go-to spot in Asheville for watching the Georgia Bulldogs games. You should keep an eye out because Cochran will surely wear his jersey.
